MENTAL CELIBASY

Hallowed white robe,

underneath is a human

of flesh and bone

who vowed never to succumb

to the serpent’s call.

Would he not look to a naked woman,

or be enthused with a perfect curve

inside a diaphanous clothe?

Would he not use his hands

to placate the sweltering

baton in his robe, or gulp

a glass of cold water to cool

down the rising temperature?

They say “man is only human”

Is that an exemption or justification?

perhaps the statement
"Man is only animal"
fit this most...

If "Man is only human"
and humans are in the
"Image of God" then:
man has morals and is
bound by his ethics
and the power of logic to deal
with any and all destructive
emotions.

Beautiful lines these:
"Would he not look to a naked woman,
or be enthused with a perfect curve
inside a diaphanous clothe?"

Splendid write!
