WINTRY NIGHTS

Some days when hope

seems a light of drab

when heaven seems

too indifferent for my pleas

I think of you

You and your promises,

They shine like diamonds in the sky

they warm me against

the coldness of the night

and when solitude perseveres

I talk to your photograph

You reign my life, Mr. King of heart

You are the only light that gives shine

to my gloomy heart.

Hear me as I plea

I am here, gathering stars

Talking to the moon

Behind my smile is you

and your promises

that I know you intend to keep
