I am that agile lady sitting on the pacific

Wearing brown skin that signifies my being

I am contented to listen to all their prattle

Maybe thinking what the hell am I doing



My skin glides brightly as the sun lick it

If I would stand right beside the westerners

The difference would be highlighted

Together we are like the silk and the caramel

Her whiteness up against what they call tarnish ness



They called on me giving me heaps of names

Are you Asian, a chink, or a flip fresh off the boat?

They regard my color as very inferior, well for that

Just a shrug of shoulder is more than enough



I have a tan cover oftetimes called a brown color

It boasts of my origin, heritage and well being

The fight I fought in the past and up to present

All in the name of equality from racial inequality
