NOT JUST ANOTHER ACQUAINTANCE

Folder:
2002 Poetry

I cherished the day when we both find a bond

A special bond beyond scrutiny and study

Your counsels to all of my blunders

Were a sweet homely though not all of it

Were heeded and followed wholeheartedly!

The happy and down moments we shared

You are more than a friend but a sister to me

I have known hundreds of people in this world

But non can compare to your unique camaraderie

It saddens me to see our parting so suddenly

A decision we have to take for our future sake

An opportunity to advance in a foreign country

Shall and will not stand as a hindrance for what

We have formed—A special kind of friendship

That cannot be regarded as just another acquaintance
