I Give Thanks Because....God Is Love

I give thanks because I write poetry that I love

with help and inspiration from God up above

I have too many things to be thankful for

the list is endless with thanks galore

even when I'm very tired

never cease to be inspired

to write creatively

whatever the topic may be

automatic writing happens fast

but poetry/lyrics tend to last

in my heart and soul and mind

in my art and the role behind

my true self that is set free

whenever I write my poetry

Thankyou God for giving me this present

I truly believe it is heaven sent

this is a challenge poem I did over at www.thestarlitecafe.com/poets/pamschwetz(the challenge was....I give thanks because....by heaven sent...very inspirational)Their screen name was actually heaven's own but they were heaven sent creating this poem in my mind...Pam

I absolutely love this poem, I don't think people spend enough time thanking God for all the gifts he has given to them, great poem.
