Vulnerability is the key

to the real me

to be free

to just be me

put myself out there

so much I have to share

if I dare

when you get over the fears

over the years

over the tears

over the beers

if anyone hears

vulnerability draws you in

you understand the predicament I am in

cuz it is something we all are in

whether we choose to admit it or not

when we have the courage to do so it is so hot

the courage to say I'm afraid

man, you've got it made

check it out you know it's true

if I am wrong hope I hear from you

even if you agree

get in touch with me

don't be afraid to be you

to yourself be true

when you keep yourself open

let the rope in

to allow hope in

let yourself feel

that's the real deal

this calls for much thought

that can't be bought

just shared

and dared

cuz someone like me cared

able to be vulnerable

is truly honorable

agree or not

still hits the spot

somehow someway

maybe you will get this someday

If not I tried

I have no pride

or use for it

no excuse for it

I must admit

I can't seem

to digress from this theme
