to realize

you need to listen to

those who talk to you

Really listen...really hear

thoughts shared can be dear

We all have interesting things to say

and want to learn something every day

I can learn from what you have to share

know your thoughts matter and I care

Listening is an art

comes from the heart

I listen and respond

that sets me beyond

my imaginations

limitations

I've been told I am a good listener

so my mind is not a prisoner

I am open to new ideas and thoughts

too many in my head

how many have you read

poetry is a collaboration of thoughts

give and take

make no mistake

I listen to every word

your message is heard

and may end up in my poetry some day

so I can share with others some way
