Nobody's Perfect

So you're not the most popular person in school

Is that breaking any rule?

So you're not the best looking one in town.

Neither are others.Don't let that get you down.

So you're not a pro at all the sports.

You may be good at things of other sorts.

So what if you're not very smart.

Doing your best is a good start.

So you're too tall or you're too short,

Accept your height and be a good sport.

When you think you are beaten and sure you won't win

Pick yourself up and try again.

Look around you and I'm sure you'll detect

That nobody in the world is really perfect.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this in HS...They had a literary magazine called the Foreman Meditanda that this was published in. I wrote it back in 1978...my Junior year of HS...Pretty smart kid, huh?
