That's Show Biz

Now that you're used to me

It's time to part company

I just want you to know

I had lots of fun working on the show

We know all the ins and outs

We all have our fears and doubts

We got used to each others habits and moods

and ways of doing things

to get used to a whole new cast and crew

is a pain that really stings

for as soon as you know them well enough

it's time for all to pack up their stuff

I can't stand to say goodbye

It's always see ya later

Can't wait til we again say hi

My list of acquaintances grows greater....

I know I'm bound to bump into a few sooner or later

Author's Notes/Comments:

I worked in theater for ages and used to give this poem to my fellow artists at the end of a show as a keep in touch kind of thing...parting is such sweet sorrow....
