My mind is in fast forward
And I'm moving in slow motion
My thoughts are deeper than the ocean
My goals are higher than the sky
There's internal commotion
And I'm barely getting by
I've got too many ideas
And not enough ambition
Gotta get some energy;I need some ammunition
I'm tired of sitting still
I'm a gypsy at heart
Let my music take me where it will
Wanna perfect my art
I wanna do it now - But I wanna do it right
It just won't work out somehow
Now I can't sleep at night
I wanna find a go-between
I need to work things out
The thing I really need
Is to alleviate the doubt
This is EXCELLENT! I really like this because of the honesty, simplicity and metaphor use in analogy. Every writer is a gypsy so to speak, always traveling in the mind to the next adventure of a piece written, hesitent at points to figure out the "right" words in their own chosen view to make the piece say what they want to but every writer is their own worst critic too haha....Don't know if I told you but I have two journels I keep. One the front half is various pics I clip and collect for ideas for pieces to write, the second half words, phrases, quotes, or just general ideas I collect the second journel is where I print other peoples pieces because I find them profound of content or they strike a nerve with me somehow and your piece here goes into that journal. It's a good ref journel because it also shows me how people write at different times. Another words like something written this year might be different then last year or tomorrow fromsame writer and its interesting to see the changes and reason for the changes.......
