Advice

We can ask for advice and not take it

We can take advice but not make it

We know in our hearts what we want to do

But helps when it is said by you too

IF YOU THINK THE WAY I DO

Validation helps me

But do what I was gonna do anyway

So what’s the point in asking

When I am always multi-tasking

And doing what I was gonna do anyway

Maybe I will listen someday

There is much to learn to my dismay

But if  I’ve enlightened you

Maybe this was the thing to do

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was inspired by....Today's Quote

Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't.

-Erica Jong

Man, another connection I need to share just got today, at least a week or so after posting this, also makes sense ....
When we ask for advice, we are usually looking for an accomplice.

Charles Varlet Marquis de La
I totally agree with both observations and that is what this poem is based on before and after...one inspired me and one verified my inspiration I guess...agree, disagree? Comments please?
