Musical Relief

When I fall into a state of depression

And life seems to be one big regression

I turn my music up full blast

To get me some relief real fast

I can't just listen to a song

I always gotta sing along

The music always gets me high

Come on now, let me show you why

What do you say we all give it a try

The music is making me higher

It really sets my soul on fire

It always changes my mood

And makes me feel real good

How bout you? Can you feel it too?

written long ago but I still blast my music and sing along as loud as I can and love it...it is such a release...just recently got back into writing poetry and singing and listening to music thanks to my inspiration Ryan Cabrera...I, as a matter of fate, caught on launch.com when I got my new dsl and can't get enough of his music, videos, inspiration...Thanks to Ryan for getting that energy flowing again...creativity, gotta love it...I was so lost without it. What a rush...written as a song...Pam

Great poem, I can so relate, music has gotten me through so much, I don't know where I would be without it.

I agree singing and listening or doing both with music can change a mood and thereby improve many situations-great write!
