Confusing

Sometimes things get too confusing

where do I possibly begin

don't find it at all amusing

It's not as if I am snoozing

incessant brain fog setting in

Sometimes things get too confusing

I'm afraid there's no excusing

apparent patience growing thin

don't find it at all amusing

Perhaps it's my mind I'm losing

dare I say with a sheepish grin

Sometimes things get too confusing

I've had it with overusing

my intelligence from within

don't find it at all amusing

At times my mind prefers cruising

it gets wound up and needs to spin

Sometimes things get too confusing

don't find it at all amusing

WPOM NaPoMo Poetry prompt 15

write a villanelle

19 line poem consisting of five tercets or three lines and one quatrain or four lines with repeating lines...very complicated...had to look at an example to see where the first and last lines repeated...the sample I saw had eight syllables per line so that is how I did mine...guessing that is part of the requirement but I could be wrong as I have no knowledge of this form before now...lots of work not fun for me...

I like your poem

I dont like rules

When it comes to art.

Plus I do not like to think that much.

KS

It would have me replicating

Your poem. ( so to speak )

I have been doing their poetry prompts daily for National Poetry Month and was very tempted to pass on this one...but I just hate to miss a day so had to give it a try...it was not fun at all...I prefer to create them as they come spontaneously without rules...thanks for commenting.
