it is so utterly vile
to think
we live in a world
where even innocent babies
are shot out of the sky
while on holiday with their grandparents
by heartless fighting rebels
and political fingers get pointed
but nobody claims the responsibility of
just why
mindless butchers
given access and use of technological
weapons they have no business having
the gull they demonstrated is discovered
by plane crash officials
and then in the brazen aftermath
carelessly looting the belongings of the
newly killed
petty criminals obviously unleashed
local townspeople caught and revealed
to the media the absolute lowness of
their own criminal deeds
how ashamed must they be to learn
that some of their own is stealing dead
men 's identities
and going on line shopping
men over radio frequencies
stupidly attributing the innocent passengers
to little more than spies
the world gapes back in disbelief
that a country so vast and rich in its cultural
revolutions and history
could believe the outlandish opinions of
their state run television's preposterous lies
a sad new dawning indeed it seems
has arrived
I wonder after all this has occurred
just how do you say
'Shame On You'
