my love sings in silence
far, far away
doubts possess no dots
in his life's crevice
as his heart to me
in poems, he pays
if weary indeed
were but a martyr
to the heavens
she would blow herself
to glorious smithereens
my longing runs to and fro
all a tether
as listlessly for his attention
she quietly sings
misers from every country
the world wide
hoard their cash, stocks,
their family treasures and estates
of diamonds and or gold
but his good opinion alone
is all that I personally would
ever covet to my restless breast
so to better hold
he is my spiritual wealth
and if he were to slip away
from me and hide
know that
no mark on this life whispers
any further shock to my soul
than that of, but what if
to him I'm never brought
to be so free yet nor so bold
weep not ever my beloved
readers for me
my heart in this veritable
pressure chamber of waiting
counts on the serene purity
of his perpetually professed goal
that he and I be together at long last
entwined in love's sweetly reclining
gentle caress
peace in the simplest moments shared
ours to recall and confess
mercy be she ever layered
in life's tenderest mystery
surpassing even the physical bliss
of love's own carnal congress
reacquainting two souls
born of the same wish
in different vehicles
spared by
a love long ago allowed to elapse..................
