people continue to die
while the world figures out
its next move
the media reveals human
deprivation
at its grossest form of neglect
collateral damage
at the hands of indecisiveness
allows more and more
human blood to be painted
across the landscape
of the war torn avenues of Hams
faithful media hounds
search out and send out their stories to
the world
as bombings and brutality via imprisonment
and torture are metered out daily
the disgust and outrage
of Serbia recalled
has come to visit upon the world's television
sets again
human life falls cheap in the streets of
the masses as a new decade to another
century curbs in
where is God in man during all of this
nations discuss options as children die in
their homes and beds
toddlers shot and mothers destroyed
all so a regime can retain its power
over the tired and disgusted raw determination
of people
who just want the boot and fist removed
from the back of their necks
all I can say to those who perpetuate this
mass atrocity
remember God is watching
you can't hide the abominations of your sins
from him
you may feel you've won for today
but the rest of your tomorrows are
morbidly grim
if Gadaffi could but from his grave now
wobble to stand
he like Joseph Marley to Scrooge
would whisper a wise word or two of warning
into your plugged ears
lay down your arms give into your people's demands
otherwise go the way of me
a butchered and shot dictator cowering in a dirty
drainage ditch right up to the very end
mark my words Assad he would chant
ye too shall fall like me.........mark my words
he would say as he in his chains faded wearily away...............
