if you dare
as carefully
as you would
gnarled electrical chords
create for us a barrier
of comfort and
loving care
the word we
brings to mind
such a beautiful
image in my heart
that splashes light
upon even
the deepest darkest despair
there are no more bogey men
just volumes of
utterly glorious information
we each must pour through
for ourselves
and learn quite fluently
from their meticulously compiled
tomes
all about the lone subject
of whom they were written
for
you and me
