CASE IN POINT

JOURNAL#3

poetry is so easy to put to paper

I think of it as a thought provoker or mind

stimulator

for me it is a thirst that can not be manufactured

or faked

it is a constant in my inconsistent universe

I can truthfully say

that with my hidden inner sub-self

I can fluently converse

when I am down

compared to others

I feel no worse

my saddened state of ideas and distrustful

feelings

I entrust to the page

so they do not lose their depth of despair

and quickly disburse

words have no voice

unless you speak them out loud

but if you put them to page

in a very personal signature form

they can immortalize themselves as your very own

and make you as prideful as proud

thoughts are simply thoughts

until they leave your head

then they become so discombobulated

that they are labeled distractive  or destructive

out of mere panic, fear, or dread

thus, this system of linkage I must shut down

for my maudlin mind passed my saturated soul

has just fled

and who really knows just to what subject of the

strange I will next be lead.........
