he became a soldier in his sleep
almost before my eyes
tender beloved boy once
who turned many a wrong turn
as he weaved his purposed path
searching for a suitable life
the man is emerging steadfast as steel
as the reckless youth of yonder days gradually
steps back to make proper way
its a beautiful though terrifying sight
in this mode of transformation
as the army molds its new fighting man
by putting this young vibrant life
on the path of danger
for a government's flawed cause
which tearfully makes this poet think
what could be the country's latest gain
could one day become my sister's greatest
devastating loss

Your poems are very powerful at least the ones which I have read are. Good luck to this person who you are talking about in this poem, I hope your sister dosn't suffer loss. I find it oftern difficult to write a critique of your poems as they are very powerful, however I am very impressed when I read them although I don't critique most of them.
My hat is off to you.
