EVERYONE'S BROTHER

Folder:
JOURNAL #6

the day must labor for twelve arduous hours

to harvest what we now know as the night

then the night returns the so generous favor

and labors to harvest some light to supply it

yet again for the following day

we are able to find equal parts in this simplistic

survivalist's plight

the night was here first or so it would seem

if we read our Bibles correctly  in each their

separate say

it is universally known that GOD gave up a lot to

bring us what we know as today

but because of our initial ignorance and insatiable

greed

his only son couldn't come and stay

so, maybe in the end we can safely say that it was

better that way

since for his unwavering beliefs

on a large, wooden cross we stood by his shackled,

bleeding feet and let him die without dignity where

he was nailed and forced to lay

such a harsh and yet an even more shameful beginning

we seem to have recorded and undeniably had

so many souls lost

but most not as good nor memorable as those who were

bad

but still our selfless and all loving LORD

willingly handed down to us the only real, loving son

he ever had

and look what we did to him

our barbaric behavior then was far worse than what

anyone today could ever label as bad

It has also long since been way beyond that of mad

and it's downright mean but more so  it's sad

to even think of brutalizing an innocent man

who just so happened  to be our eldest brother

as well as the prodigal son of a most proud and

loving father

who wanted nothing more than to as well

be our dear and devoted dad

and for each of us he very well could have been one

the like of which we never before truly had.......
