bangled in remorseless motion
blue regenerated dancers
gay swing in still life
their lines
scandalous
upon the nondescript canvas
captured
common eye theft
besotted in the color
and construction
I stare moments longer
I too it seems
have become
yet another helpless
ogling victim
a statistic
almost
Ah
but this time
documented.........

Author's Notes/Comments:
this poem came from my sitting in a higher up's office waiting to be interviewed before I was to take some test furthering along my career at the time in the field of working with mentally challenged adults. As I waited I noticed a water color painting done by one of the clients and the colors and shapes which looked like two tango dancers dancing in some glorious sexual entwining utterly fascinated me and so this poem came to me and I wrote it on, of all things, the back of my check book cover as I had no other paper at the time to jot it down on. I'm glad I did. Otherwise the words would have been lost and the painting would not have been remembered likely.
