Is getting old
Here I was thinking
Everything was
going good
Between us me
And my dad were
Finally talking
again
I was happy!
I thought we were
Finally started to
Build the father
Daughter bond
we never had
Because he wasn’t around
So I thought to myself
“great” we’ll
finally
have the relationship I
always hoped
we’d have
maybe he does
want to make a fresh
start?
maybe he’s really
sorry for all the mistakes
he made and he’s really sorry
for what he did to me?
But then I talk to him
On the phone saying
I was gonna do this I was
Gonna to do
that his excuses
Are still singing old sad song.
