To wonder because
Certain people I know
I won’t say their names
Question me on things
When I tell them the
Answer they go behind
Me And check me
to make sure
I got it correctly.
They don’t
Believe somebody in a
Wheelchair can use
their brains
Just as good as
anybody
to function
Properly.
I know how it feels. I have a physical disability. A lot of times I will tell people something and then they will ask somebody else. I am like, "why are you doing that, if you just asked me and I told you the answer?"
they say ignorance is bliss, must be a lot of blissful people because like you I know a lot of ignorant fools who think one who is handicapped can't think or feel. Case in point,I have a blind friend who once had site,I've taken her out to dinner and people wonder why,hey she has to eat too! I've taken her in the mall shopping and over heard people say why she can't see. Doesn't mean she doesn't remember things or know the touch of things, I've taken her to a movie and people say why and I say it's no different then you listening to t.v. from another room you still know the plot and characters- see my point?
