Twenty First Century Teenager

You glance and see the world is free

Yet you feel so trapped and stuck
You cry and sigh and begin to lie
You scream "oh for why am I me?"
You wait until the time will pass
You wait for something good
You try to smile but yet you hear
The words that forever last
This cage that sprouted as a hole
Has now become your home
You never leave for all the pain
Yet you can never have it shown
Your lungs begin to burn
As you fight to live forward on
You try to please them all
Till the acceptance is all you yearn
You are no longer free of sin
You live in a closing cage
The words seem to end
As your cage collapses in
Your friends they grieve
But time shall always heal
The world they see
This problem is much too real.
