The wolves loitered around the foot of the gangplank long enough to make sure the sheep boarded the ark then cut in line in front of the beavers and got aboard themselves.
Once upon a time all the animals were in heaven then people arrived.
Only people believe they are important enough and interesting enough to command the constant attention of God.
Alas, some folks do think
Alas, some folks do think they are interesting and important enough to command God's constant attention. But those who are spiritually cognizant realize that we are so flawed, so broken, and so needy---through our own doing---that we require His constant attention.
