I envy those who get to write about love and peace,
I’m constantly enraged from the hate I receive
Under attack,
And forced to fight back
I tried turning the other cheek,
But they smacked that
So,
Fuck all of yall
I’m sick of the bullshit
Sick of motha fuckers using me,
And claiming that we cool with
Oh Fuck no!
We ain’t gonna ever be cool
Cause I don’t hang around with god damn fools
Because of yall,
I’m no longer taking people at their word
If you want on my side,
You better put in work,
You heard?
We Hate Hard Here
Gays can marry in Texas now. The Supreme Court said so yesterday I think. I remember as the first blacks on a Catholic (a Catholic!) campus black board "N Go Home!" I felt sooooooo loved and welcome. I hated for a while, now it's over the Ferguson shooting (cop shoots unarmed black kid in the face). Then Michigan mall Northland three security guards hold down challenged mentally black man and cut of his air until he dies. The frequency is increasing and the intervals shorter. Like losing your job or your house or your health. Hate is like anger. But hate is a fleeting emotion, like rage - eventually somebody is gonna walk up to you and smack you with an "I love yo ass" and you thaw. That's what happened to me on pp - the poets are sooooooooooooooo understanding. But in the US we hate hard. It is a part of our legacy. One of our freedoms.
