I lie here confused, and I refuse

to give in to any one who commands me.

The passion that once burned inside me,

was washed away as I turned and tried to see,

the life rise and fall all around me,

was lost but no one cared when you found me.

You tell me all about how things should be,

I pull away and I wish that you could see,

that you're wasting your time trying to control me!

Never more will I bow down to your rules,

not again will I live as your fool.

You confuse me for someone who bends,

under pressure, well, I refuse to conform to your trends,

I will not break under any weight,

You think I'm weak, but I tell you I ain't

Ever going anywhere, never will I care, I don't wanna share,

I am too strong, I dive headlong, into the abyss, into emptiness, embrace brokeness.

You may be against me, I don't care!

You my rise to fight me, I'm not scared!

Strong I'll always be, but you'll never see,

You cannot control, I won't pay your toll,

I don't care what you say, I will be myself anyway,

There's nothing you can do, I won't listen to you!
