" Chill Factor "

Chill Factor

The flashing smiles you throw around

Ingited hope in me.

You took by storm each conquest made,

You know not chivalry.

The laughing gent who steals the show,

When in a crowd of friends,

Is not the man I offered love,

Remorse here has no end.

In hindsight now I see no warmth,

'Twas but an amber glow,

That touched in me the coals of heat,

Long banked, still embers though.

How could I know your selfish soul?

Your best facade so nice,

Would bid me fall in love with you,

Your heart as cold as ice.

Jessica, you've spelled "ignited" incorrectly. There are other, more profound errors, too.

"Poe" I'm not, nor "Rich" am I,
but I'll be famous, b'ye and b'ye !
