Miracle For The Towns Family
I've taught so many children here
Whole families I know.
I loved the twins, her sisters,
Knew them long years ago.
Then Friday Kristy came to class,
A smile upon her face.
"Nakiesha had her baby,"
Just one small pound she weighs.
I felt like crying sitting there--
Sweet preemie born too soon!
The world is filled with so much pain,
And so much hurt and gloom.
I felt like weeping when I thought
Of the Godly grandma dear.
She taught her girls to live for God,
That faith could ravage fear.
I listened to young Kristy's tale
About the teeny babe.
I knew that whole big family
Had hit their knees to pray.
My heart was reaching out in faith,
Somehow inside I knew.
She said, "They named her 'Miracle'."
Then I was smiling too.
Speak out in faith, when troubles come
To circle 'round your life.
Just call on God to make a way,
For children, husband, wife.
And even if the answer's "no",
God has a reason why.
Just stand in faith and some sweet day
We'll hear it by and by.
Author's Notes/Comments:
UPDATE!!! Miracle is coming home. This is November 16 and you can see the date on this poem. It took a while but she's coming home! I told you that these people know how to pray!
There's no words I can say for this one.
It's a heart breaker. I'll pray for 'Miracle' too.
