There's A Cow In My Kitchen

The picture below is of my kitchen door.  I painted it with acrylics and sealed it with varnish.  The pic at the bottom is of one section of my cabinets that I painted using the same technique.

There's A Cow In My Kitchen

There's a cow in my kitchen for the world to see.

Ev'rybody has a fit!  No concern for me.

She is sweet and too engrossed with her calf to be

A menace to my welfare, so bovine is she.

There are pups and kittens too in my kitchen there.

Little chicks pip and play without a fear or care.

There's a rooster and a hen and a pig or two.

But there's still room for me as I welcome you.

Sit right down in my kitchen in my country home.

If the country life's for you, then you'll never roam.

I'm an artist and the color here is bright and fair.

My kitchen is aglow and I'm at home in there.

You're welcome any time to have a snack with me.

If you can eat with animals, then you're sure to be pleased.

This is a view of the cabinets from farther back.  The bottles in the window are the same ones mentioned in my poem "My Brush With Fame".

I loved this! What glorious colors...this is a kitchen that is so warm and alive with color. And your words fit perfectly.

I can't even draw a stick figure correctly! How I envy your talent.
