Butterfly Lesson

Butterfly Lesson

Did you ever see a caterpillar sitting on a stem?

He has camouflage there holding tight so harm can't come to him.

After several days and nights he's gone.  He just disappears!

He's clothed himself in a soft cocoon.  He's safe from all his fears.

Inside his house he's changing then to a creature all brand new,

A lovely, perfect butterfly will ascend, emerge to view.

Now as I see it we're both made by the same good God of love,

And if I just stay close, hold tight, soon he'll look here from above,

And make of me a new creation.  The Psalmist said it's true.

David himself said, "The Lord perfects that which concerneth you."

Jessica,
This is beautiful. The beauty of God's handiwork shines brightly through this one.

Hello Jess, You sure are a hot ticket, I liked this very much. I also loved "HURRAH,GENERAL GRANT" and have passed it on to other friends in and around "DIXIE" I guess I am posting on the wrong poem right now. Keep them coming. I love them all. Joyce/Spanky
