As I Put My Pen To Paper

As I Put My Pen To Paper

As I put my pen to paper

Sitting in my snug porch swing,

Life takes on a different flavor,

All my problems sprout new wings.

Jotting down my thoughts and sorrows,

Taking time, recording words,

Gives me peace and lets my heart sing

Trilling songs like mockingbirds.

As I ponder here this morning,

Maybe I don't understand,

How a lady could stay lonely,

When she has her pen in hand.

I love this one Jess! I agree too! How can one be lonely when there is so much to contemplate and say!
