Your thoughts were settled on yourself,
And I just told you so!

That I am smothering you.
What you really meant was that your love
Has room for only you.
Your ego is gargantuan.
It stretches out of view.
You could never love a woman quite
As much as you love you.
You said you're leaving me for good
As you turned your back to me.
I couldn't help it. Just blurted out,
"Well duh!! And your point would be???"
