Never Again
I've missed so many things in life because I feared to fail,
Shunning rejection, avoiding the pain,
I stayed in my pitiful shell.
As I grow older I realize that life has quite passed by,
While I waited for that time of perfection
To give all my dreams the right try.
Never again will I patiently sit in the shadows, a bystander be.
If I am to have all my life holds in store
The procuring is left up to me.
I'm taking my life back into MY control,
Expectant and glad of the day.
If I get a few knocks, have a few disappointments,
At least I've decided to play.
If life is the game of sweet interaction
I've been told that it surely must be,
Let me be in the first-string lineup.
Fulfillment depends on just me.

It really is true that a person only LIVES once and that you can't go back and change the past, but you always have power to change the future. Your credo to live life is beautiful. You will only be fufilled if you are happy with the choices you make. You are an inspiring writer.

The Credo of the town I live in is Carpe Diem - seize the day. I also did a turn-about this year and the yields are already positive, hope yours will be too - life is to short not to live it to the fullest. Even if you make mistakes at least you lived life and filled your cup to the brim!

Sweetheart it seems you are in a down mood this A.M. I read your never again by accident looking for annother never poem. Women to women I want to tell you the only time you shuold use never is in never give up!1!! Now that Ive found your list Ill check it out for some ind of trend. Theres a lot of hope in your never again, & I needed that myself. Do al poeteses open their hearts like you do? You sound so young, and Im older, an I want to telk you there is np reason for despar in this world, something always changes life to the better. Its ok to play, but dont play around. Write more.
