Dream Of Love
She looked into his eyes and melted
Clear down to her toes.
She thought, "I hope he doesn't see it."
Looking at her, he knows.
He ran the pad of one finger
Gently from cheek to chin.
He asked, "Did I tell you today I love you?"
She nodded. "Will you marry me then?"
She leaned into his chest and nuzzled
Her face into his neck.
The alarm clock shrilling, resounded.
Turning over she grumbled, "AW, HECK!!"

Author's Notes/Comments:
Just having fun with some of my students. They've started reading my new poems day to day at home. LOL This ought to teach you a lesson.
dan-nab alarm clock...does it everytime...LOL
That should teach someone a lesson! LoL! Never take things at face value - even a poem can be a slap on the wrist as I have found many times. I like the plot twist in the end of the poem!
