I was filled with hate and anger

Seeing the world in only shades of gray

Until you came into my life

And took all that bitterness away



You were a godsend

Coming from Heaven to this lowly ground

Picking up all the pieces

And turning my life around



I tried to keep you out

But it was much too hard

With your persistence it was inevitable

I finally let down my guard



Now free from agony

And without the past strife

All because of you

So changed my outlook on life



But now I find myself in debt to you

I owe you more than I might ever possibly repay

For it is entirely you

Who showed me the light and the way
