I know you’re feeling down

Poured your heart into another relationship

That never had a chance

Another three months wasted

Another man who couldn’t return your love

What seemed like an eternity

With the one who couldn’t meet your needs

And so you’re left dejected

Shedding tears from time to time

Hiding the pain when your friends are around

Giving in when you’re all alone

You think you can’t go on

It seems love’s a waste of time

You hit that brick wall again

An immovable mass so plain to see

Can’t seem to get by

And the ticket to pass is in the form of a man

Only you haven’t quite found the right ticket yet

Now you don’t know where or even when to look

Did you ever stop to think

It might actually be right in front of you

Might be nearer than it is too far

Girl I’m asking please take a look at me

Maybe I’m all you’ve ever dreamed of

And then again maybe I’m not

But I’d sure love to find out

I’d give you all I’ve got

I’d show my love every moment of the day

As to make sure in you there lies no doubt

I’d be there to share the laughter

When the times are good

When the times are bad

I’d give you a shoulder to cry on

Whenever trouble should abound
