I am a raindrop, falling from clouds above clouds,
Full of dreams, full of hope, full of expectations, I fall,
My feeling is that none other like me has ever existed,
I am unique, special, undeniably different,
Without knowing what is below, I descend,
The clouds block my view, but not my determination,
I know that whatever is out there, I can handle it,
For what seems like a lifetime I fall,
Nearing the clouds I prepare myself for what is about to come,
As I burst through, I close my eyes,
Waiting with anticipation til I no longer feel the moist haze against my face,
I open my eyes, and close my heart,
I see what is before me, but I am lost in its immensity,
Thoughts of uniqueness, individuality, hope, are all lost,
With one roll of the dice, I lose myself,
I wish I were on top of the clouds again,
Where I was safe, where I had some control,
But I'm not, I am below the clouds,
Falling towards what could have been salvation,
But instead is my minds destruction,
What I see before me strips me of all hope,
What is before me, is the ocean.
