Urge

I had a sick desire to undress you

Not just from your dirty jacket,

Your favourite pair of jeans -

No, I wanted to undress you intimatley

To eat your secrets when you kissed me,

And for my touch to linger long in your mind

Even when you left me.

I had an urge, to open the blackness of your eyes

And find something tender and fragile inside

I wanted to cry into your chest,

And talk about the things I feared

Or loved or missed,

I wanted to show you

The death of the oceane

The destruction and beauty in fire,

I wanted you to look at the world through me

Just in one night ,

Just in one eve.

When you came home with me.

:)

I loved that opening line! I feel like this poem would hit punches to gutts if you used some parataxis on it! I also really liked the third last line "to look at the world through me" it really hit home for me with some of my recent feelings :)

Much Love
