Jane they fell in love-
With how hard you were to satisfy
you knew they wanted to find out where
The fire lived behind your eyes
And just so they could snuff it out,
Did you get sick of all the games?
You wanted to live out on the streets
You didn't want to have a name.
Jane the girls were jealous
Of every single head you turned,
And all the boys that you had kissed
And all the lessons you had learned
But they didn't see the sadness
And they didn't know the weight
Of carrying so much beauty
and carrying so much pain
Jane I heard you gave into it all
San diego stripper, holes inside your nose.
Girl you just went until you had gone
You couldn't hold your secrets,
You couldn't stop doing wrong.
So simple
But "we" know it ain't simple.
