It’s hard work loving somebody who’

Just don’t love you,

the way you want them to

It’s reminded me of the pain of life

I had forgotten the ache

I had forgotten the strife

I thought all that i had

Was all you could give me

I thought the way you saw me

Was all that defined me

How could i get it so very wrong?

Was it really my fault

That I wanted to belong...

I feel like I’m fifteen again,

I’ve learnt nothing through the years

One sideways glance from you

And I,

Am still reduced to tears.
