Recollection of Home

Hovering in darkness, starlight falls to the earth…

Igniting the virgin snow beneath my feet…

I bask in solitude…

Thoughts cut by the glow of a porch light…

I remember a home…

Smoke climbs the frigid air, curling into night…

Hanging motionless, I reminisce…

Laughter…joy…

The first words of a child…

 A husband’s love…

Vibrant…alive…

Imprints forever etched in frost…

Warmed by the heart…

Burned within by the moonlight…

My memories of home…

Staring at the stars, deafened by the quiet -and probably near death from frostbite- I'd reminisce...

Moon Glow As Operative

Less magic, more a stimuli, a causation factor to elevate words to paint images of love and home. Cool write, warm theme - slc
