Away through the window

I saw the window open wide

The wind has driven curtains mad

And blackness painted me inside:

Your place was cooling in my bed.

For I could see you walk away;

You lightly stepped above the roofs.

The wind has caused my nerves to sway

Crashing sanity and proofs.

What could I say? You were just gone.

No argument could turn you back

And I was left without a sun,

With teardrops tickling my neck.

How could I wait? I jumped to you

And ran, barefooted through the stars

That cut my feet and burned me through

Planting memories in scars.

Wait for me! Where do you go?

Why do you have to leave this way?

It wasn't hard to let me know.

Have you nothing left to say?

What if I want to go with you?

I do not even ask you where

And all the stones you're going through

Are mine as well. Why don't you share?

You make a step and shadows grow.

A step again and you are free.

It doesn't matter where you go;

You simply go away from me.
