Introduction to Love

Sitting alone,

Thinking of her,

Wanting her here.

I barely know her,

but I can't help myself,

I like her.

I'm weak like that.

I need her already,

I'm attached.

I can't explain it.

I always have a need to have someone.

I like her a lot.

We gaze into each others eyes,

It makes me feel safe,

It makes her feel safe.

We cuddle,

I feel special,

I feel needed.

I love to touch her.

Holding her close,

Protecting her,

Comforting her,

Kissing her.

I hope things work out,

I like her a lot.

I want her.

I barely know her,

But I want to get to know her.

I like her a lot.

I miss her already.

Reading this poem, several words came to mind: Exquisite, extremely polished and accomplished, and elegant. I have been reading poems offline for 28 years, and online for almost 2. I have found only a few love poems of this quality, and this poem will be one of my permanent favorites.
