Sitting Alone
Time so quickly fading
i'm sitting here alone
confused and contemplating
a heart reduced to stone.
Burning amongst the rubble
of what I think was once my life
looking to find nothing more
then so much senseless strife.
Friends and foe's abandoned
which is the greater loss
to lose it all so rapidly
can't calculate the cost.
Life released from it's confines
a safe but dreary box
free to roam this frightening place
succumbing to chaos.
Time so quickly fading
the end is drawing near
and I am sitting here alone
to consort with my fear.
this is almost life in a box good
the start is for sure life in a box good
