I am what you once were to me

a pathetic fool who didn't see

to win a game, you must really play

to win a heart, there's so much you can say

to make it claer that you really do care

you can't dream, you must really be there.



Prices are paid and hearts often broken

assumptions are made before words can be spoken

to walk the right path means to have unsound minds

to walk anyway in an unending sign

we all just might have a slight little chance

to find a moment where we truely can dance.



But many don't see and even more will not hear

it is those people who most truely fear

to love and to lose is an every day thing

but those people will hate what reality brings

for they will then see that good things never last

and for those people most it will all go too fast.
