I woner how much more i'll take

before this is all gone

before the pain I feel is topped

in knowing I was wrong.



In knowing I did hurt you

time after stupid time

in my persuit I tore you down

so that the broken heart would not be mine.



I lost the will to make us work

and our bricks began to fall

all we have is rubble

where we once had a great wall.



I wonder if you will forgive

or if you will despise

I hope one day you'll understand

why I just couldn't try.
