Destruction

Love is something known by few

while hate is known by all

we all wish to stand alone

but in the end we crawl.

Innocence does never last

purity had no chance

people know only pure lust

forget of old romance.

Happiness has long been lost

despair rules all the land

hope is something unheard of

as petty men demand.

Truth defined by those with gold

justice by the same

envy kills the righteous few

while others pass the blame.

Ignorance is commonplace

anger fills their hearts

desperation makes them mad

and with it they can't part.

Honor is a memory

kept by those long dead

grief is what is felt by me

while on this path were lead.

After critiquing one of my poems previously, I decided to have a look at your portfolio. There were so many poems, I decided to randomly click on one, and I come across probably the best piece of poetry I've read this year. It overshadows anything I've written, and looking at some of your others, this is truly amazing. You've got a real talent for this. Well done.

that part rocks

"Truth defined by those with gold

that part is great but the last line isn't strong enough
