The Path
Lead to a path of self destruction
I feel I have no self control
and all of this worlds problems
I know I can not console.
Evil on the inside is slowly seeping out
at this steady rate it will slowly be a sea
the hands of time are always ticking on
neither mercy nor pity does ever come for free.
People turn around, nothing but faceless memories
fear walks along the street alone
we've all been dragged down to our knees
never able to really please.
No one knows what lies beneath
within the souls that wander on
the very narrow path that leads
between the lines of right and wrong.
The sun does set on our cold town
we all come out to play
a people cursed with fun by night
and only pain by day.
