Why can't you please just understand

that I'm not standing here to fight

it's not my fault that I was raised

to know know what or what not is right.



Why can't you please just close your mouth

and listen to these, all my words

how can I ever help you

if all my words are never heard.



Why can't you please tell me the truth

just see that you don't have to lie

how can I be a true friend

if I don't know when you do cry.



Why can't you realize that I love you

for what you are and who you could be

this the most of all the things

is what I wish that you would see.
